Nude youth on horseback left, holding bridles in his right hand and small round shield and spear in his left, preparing to vault from the horse; below, ⊣. Rev. ΤΑΡΑΣ Youthful oikist, nude, riding dolphin to left, holding Corinthian helmet in his right hand and resting his left on the dolphin; below, I above waves. Fischer-Bossert 653d (this coin, V252/R505). HN Italy 876. Vlasto 437. A beautifully toned piece with an excellent pedigree. Minor graffito on the reverse and some scratches, otherwise, very fine.
